Sketchbook

First Sketchbook Page
The class completed a survey to determine the type of artist they are, and I got the visionary. I made the form of an eye surrounded by moss and in the eye there are gears and flowers
Trivet Sketches

This image is one of the trivet sketches I did. Although I didn't end up doind this design it was my top two.
I sketched this one because my mom really liked the concept

This was the idea I chose but I changed up the color choices in my final piece.

Artist of the Day Spread
This spread was on Brian Mock and artist who works with recycled metals. So fo my spread I incorporated scraps of metal from my house.
Tableware
In this sketch I drew a champagne bottle, and both my oil and vinegar bottles were going to be the same. For my project itself I was inspired by my sketches but ended up doing a wine bottle and grapes.

Artist of the Day
This spread was inspired by the Artist Jeff Rubio. Rubio focuses on nostalgia and make larger versions of your favorite childhood toys.
Dream vs. Nightmare

For the dream I had the idea of making a pot of gold under a rainbow, but I love adding 3D elements to my sketchbook, so the rainbow was made out of bead, the clouds out cotton balls, and the gold was made from scraps of the foil on a champagne bottle. For the nightmare I wanted to do the opposite and utilized some of the same materials to create a thunderstorm.

Surreal Bust Sketch
For this project we were required to make 3 sketches of a surreal bust and I chose this one. I did have to change the shoulders due to it not being physically possible, but I love the end result.
Artist of the Day
The artist Tiffanie Turner creates floral bodies out of paper to symbolize feminine beauty. I used paper and artificial flowers to achieve the spread.

Artist of the Day
Every year the school/ art department has an art career day. This year I attended one first period with fashion designer Hope Wade. For this spread I used a background that had red kiss marks since Wade often wears a bold red lip.
Tea Set Sketches
For the tea set project we were required to draw three sketches for a tea set inspired by a book and a clay artist. For all the literary inspirations I decided to go towards a nostalgic theme. Including books such as Strawberry Shortcake, Fancy Nancy, and Care Bears

Sketchbook Cover

For the cover of our sketchbooks, we were able to customize it to our choice. For mine I decided to take parts of my sketchbooks from the last two years and combine it. The front cover has pieces from my first sketchbook and even has the first ever sketch I made in a clay class. The back cover of my sketchbook has sketches and parts of assignments from my sophomore year sketchbook. I chose this idea so every time I look at my sketchbook, I remember all my past projects and where I started.
