Tableware
For the Tableware project, we had the option to create either salt and pepper shakers or oil and vinegar bottles. I chose to design oil and vinegar bottles, drawing inspiration from my last name, Champagne. Initially, I planned for both bottles to resemble champagne bottles, but I found the repetition boring. Instead, I decided to change the design: one bottle took the form of a wine bottle, while the other was shaped like a cluster of grapes.
To bring my vision to life, I employed a combination of techniques, including the potter's wheel for the main forms, hand sculpting for intricate details, and careful attaching to assemble the final pieces. The result was a personal set of oil and vinegar bottles, blending functionality with a bit of who I am.
